About Heike

Born in Braunschweig, Germany into a musicians family, Heiki began to play piano at age four. When 18, she changed to the guitar, and just one year later she began to study at the Hochschule in Frankfurt. She earned her artistic diploma in 1993. Afterwards, Heidi became masterstudent of Pepe Romero. She also took masterclasses with Leo Brouwer, Roland Dyens, Manuel Barrueco, David Russell, Alvaro Pierri and many more.

In addition to her solo career, she is performing in the opera houses in Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden. She is also a highly regarded chambermusic partner, having played with Los Romeros and performes in recital of the Villa Musica in Mainz.

Heidi has performed in Japan, USA, Denmark, Iceland, Austria , Spain, Poland, Bulgary and France, also at festivals like the Schleswig-Holstein-Musikfestival and guitar events. In 1998, her first solo-CD, "Sol y luna" with spanish and southamerican repertoire, got released with Tyrolis. Her second CD entirely with works by Roland Dyens was released in March 2001.
